WVU Law at SEALS: Wednesday July 31, 2019

This week, WVU Law faculty members are presenting and discussing their scholarship at the SEALS-Annual-Conference-Program_2019 in Boca Raton, Florida. On Wednesday, July 31, 2019 Dean Gregory Bowman, Professor Vincent Cardi, and Director of the Center for Consumer Law and Education  Jonathan Marshall participated in discussion groups at the conference.

Dean Bowman participated in a discussion group titled "Deans Giving Advice to Newer Law Professors" moderated by Professor Jennifer Bard of University of Cincinnati College of Law.

WVU Law at SEALS: Monday July 29, 2019

This week, WVU Law faculty members are presenting and discussing their scholarship at the 2019 SEALS Annual Conference in Boca Raton, Florida.

On Monday, July 29, 2019, Dean Gregory Bowman participated in two discussion groups. The first, titled "Bar Examinations (and Assessment of Competency to Practice Law)", was moderated by Dean Hari Osofsky of Penn State Law. Dean Bowman moderated the second panel titled "Pathways to Becoming a Dean".

WVU Law Faculty Participate in Law Review Education Law Symposium

West Virginia University School of Law faculty members will participate in the West Virginia Law Review's annual symposium to be held today, Thursday, February 21 and tomorrow Friday, February 22, 2019. The Education Law Symposium will explore two landmark education law decisions - Pauley v. Kelly and the Recht Decision. Other symposium topics include the 2018 teacher strikes; recent trends in state education rights litigation; the future for equity in education; and education law in higher learning.

Professors Joshua Weishart, Shine Tu, and Dean Gregory Bowman will all participate as panelists or panel moderators.
