Professor Sean Tu Publishes new article in New England Journal of Medicine

West Virginia College of Law professor S. Sean Tu recently published new scholarship in the New England Journal of Medicine. The article is titled Leveraging Old Hepatitis C Therapies. Professor Tu co-authored the article with Shyamasundaran Kottilil, M.B., B.S., Ph.D. (University of Maryland School of Medicine), and T. Joseph Mattingly II, Pharm.D., M.B.A., Ph.D (University of Utah College of Pharmacy). It was published online by the journal on December 28, 2024 and subsequently in print in volume 392 on January 2, 2025.

Professor Oliva Speaks on Public Health and the Opioid Crisis on Panel at Harvard Law

West Virginia University College of Law professor Jennifer Oliva participated in a panel discussion at Harvard Law on April 1, 2019. Professor Oliva was an invited panlist and organizer for the event titled "Public Health Approaches to the Opioid Crisis: Overcoming Obstacles to Community-Driven Solutions" . The panel discussed "community-driven, evidence-based public health strategies aimed at reducing overdose deaths in hard-to-reach populations in Massachusetts, including fishing families, veterans, and individuals who are incarcerated."

Professor Oliva was joined on the panel by Stephen Wood of Harvard Medical School and J.J. Bartlet, President of Fishing Partnership Support Servicers. The panel was moderated by Carmel Shacher, Executive Director of the Petrie-Flom Center for Health Law Policy, Biotechnology, and Bioethics and Lecturer on Law at Harvard Law School.
