West Virginia University College of Law professor Anne Marie Lofaso recently authored a report as a member of the West Virginia State Advisory Committee to the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights. The report presents information on the civil rights impacts of collateral consequences of a criminal record in West Virginia. It discusses community reentry issues like employment, licensing, housing, and access to public benefits. The committee makes recommendations based on information gathered by public briefings and other documentation.
