West Virginia University College of Law professor Amy Cyphert was recently cited by the United States Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit. The Court cited Professor Cyphert's article, Reprogramming Recidivism: The First Step Act and Algorithmic Prediction of Risk , 51 Seton Hall L. Rev. 331 (2020) for its discussion of the First Step Act in U.S. v. Juliano .
