Librarian Nicholas Stump Presents on Critical Legal Research at the Global Meeting on Law & Society and AALL Annual Meeting

West Virginia University College of Law librarian Nicholas Stump recently spoke at two different conferences on the topic of critical legal research. On July 13, 2022, Mr. Stump presented at the Global Meeting on Law & Society. This event is hosted by the Law & Society Association approximately every five years.  Mr. Stump spoke on a panel titled "Sites of Authority and Contestation in Global Law and Political Economy", giving a talk titled "An Ecosocialist and Critical Legal Research Approach."

On July 18, 2022, Mr. Stump presented "Critical Legal Research: Theory and Practice" at the American Association of Law Libraries Annual Meeting as part of a program titled "Critical Race Theory in Law Librarianship."  

Librarian Nicholas Stump Publishes New Post to Oxford Human Rights Hub

West Virginia University College of Law librarian Nicholas Stump recently authored a new post at the Oxford Human Rights Hub. The post is titled "UN Council Resolution on Human Right to Healthy Environment: Implications for US Grassroots-Led ‘Non-Reformist Reforms'" and appeared on January 24, 2022.  Mr. Stump has been a contributor to the blog since 2016, published several pieces which are collectively available to read here: https://ohrh.law.ox.ac.uk/author/nicholas-stump/

Librarian Nicholas Stump Publishes New Scholarship in Boston University Law Review Online

West Virginia College of Law Librarian Nicholas Stump has recently published new schalarship in the Boston College Law Review Online. The essay is titled “Non-Reformist Reforms” in Radical Social Change: A Critical Legal Research Exploration and was presented as part of an online symposium, "Critical Legal Research: The Next Wave", hosted by the journal. The symposium and panel honors Professors Richard Delgado and Jean Stefancic and their scholarship in Critical Race Theory.
