Professor Jena Martin Presents New Scholarship at University of Connecticut Workshop

West Virginia University College of Law Professor Jena Martin recently presented a work-in-progress as part of the Business & Human Righst Workshop Series hosted by University of Connecticut Human Rights Institute. With her co-author, Dr. Rachel Chambers, Professor Martin discussed a new paper titled "A Foreign Corrupt Practices Act for Human Rights". The workshop was held virtually on March 18, 2021.

Professor Anne Marie Lofaso Publishes Two New Articles in West Virginia Law Review Online

West Virginia University College of Law Professor Anne Marie Lofaso recently published new scholarship in the West Virginia Law Review Online. The articles were co-authored with third year WVU law students Isabella Anderson, Anna Filatova, Blake Humphrey, McKenna Meadows, and Brice Phillips.

West Virginia University College of Law Professor Amy Cyphert recently published a new article in the Seton Hall Law Review. The articled is titled "Reprogramming Recidivism: The First Step Act and Algorithmic Prediction of Risk" and appears in volume 51 of the journal.

Shortly after publication, Professor Cyphert's article was cited by United States District Court, Southern District of West Virignia in an opinion written by Judge Joseph R. Goodwin: United States v. Johnson, No. 2:16-cr-00163-01, 2021 WL 297131 (S.D. W. Va Jan. 28, 2021).

Professor Valarie Blake Publishes New Article in California Law Review Online

West Virginia University College of Law professor Valarie Blake recently published a new article in the California Law Review Online. The article, "Sex Discrimination in Healthcare: Section 1557 and LGBTQ Rights After Bostock", was co-authored with Amy Post (3L) and Ashley Stephens (2L) and appears in volume 11 of the journal.
