Professor Kirsha Trychta Elected to AASE Committee Chair

West Virginia University College of Law professor and Director of the Academic Excellence Center Kirsha Trychta was recently elected to serve as co-chair of the planning committee for the Association of Academic Support Educators. As co-chair, Professor Trychta will work to plan and manage AASE's annual meeting and other professional development programming. She will serve during the 2024-2025 term.

West Virginia University College of Law professors Kirsha Trycta, Amy Cyphert, and Melissa Giggenbach each presented at the 2024 Indigent Defense Annual Conference, hosted by the West Virginia Public Defense Services on June 5-7. 2024.

On Wednesday, June 5, Professor Amy Cyphert spoke on the topic of "AI and Ethics."

On Thursday, April 16, 2024, West Virginia University College of Law Professor and Director of the Academic Excellence Center Kirsha Trychta joined a panel of academic excellence and bar success experts to discuss the NextGen bar exam. The program was titled "NextGen Faculty Meeting – How to Prepare and Respond when Presenting on the NextGen Bar Exam" and was hosted by AccessLex Institute at the Building Bar Skills Conference.

Professor Kirsha Trychta Speaks on Themis NextGen Bar Panel

On Thursday, September 14, 2023, West Virginia University College of Law Professor and Director of the Academic Excellence Center Kirsha Trychta joined a panel of academic excellence and bar success experts to discuss the latest developments in the NextGen bar exam. The program was titled "NextGen Examined" and was hosted by Themis Bar Review as a webinar.

This week, WVU Law faculty members are presenting and discussing their scholarship at the 2023 SEALS Annual Meeting in Boca Raton, Florida. On Thursday, July 27, 2023, Professor Kirsha Trychta participated in a discussion group at the conference.

Professor Trychta was a discussant at a Newer Law Professor's Workshop titled "Formative Feedback in Theory and Practice" moderated by Professor Olympia Duhart of Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad College of Law.
