Joshua Weishart recently spoke at two events on the topic of education as a
constitutional right. First, on September 29, 2020, Professor Weishart participated
in a panel discussion during the Cardozo Law Review Symposium, "Fault Lines in

Second, Professor Weishart spoke on one of two panels hosted by the University of
Virginia School of Law to discuss the issues raised in a new book authored by UVA
Law professor Kimberly Jenkins Robinson, “A Federal Right to Education: Fundamental
Questions for Our Democracy.” Professor Weishart joined other experts in the area
