Professor Valarie Blake Publishes New Article in The Milbank Quarterly

West Virginia University College of Law professor Valarie Blake published a new article in The Milbank Quarterly . The article, titled "Legal Remedies to Address Stigma-Based Health Inequalities in the United States: Opportunities and Challenges", is co-authored with Mark Hatzenbuehler of Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health. It appears in volume 97, issue 2 of the journal.

Professor Joshua Weishart Responds to WV Senate Anti-Strike Bill

West Virginia University law professor Joshua Weishart responds to the West Virginia Senate bill that would ban teacher strikes in a blog post on West Virginia Legal Ed, June 14, 2019: "Illegal" Best Describes Punitive Anti-Strike Bill, Not Teacher Activism. The West Virginia legislature is currently considering the Establishing Student Success Act in an special legislative session. It was passed by the Senate on June 3, 2019.

Professor Van Nostrand Presents at Energy and Mineral Law Foundation Annual Institute

West Virginia University College of Law Professor James Van Nostrand spoke today, June 11, 2019, at the Energy & Mineral Law Foundation Annual Institute.  The foundation is a nonprofit educational organization that focuses on laws and regulations related to natural resource development. 

Professor Van Nostrand's talk was titled "Incorporating Solar Energy into the Appalachian Grid".
