Professor Sean Tu Publishes in the Latest issue of Landslide

West Virginia College of Law professor  S. Sean Tu recently published an article in the latest issue of Landslide, a magazine published by the American Bar Association Section of Intellectual Property Law. The article is titled "Gender Inequality in Pharmaceutical Patent Law" and appears in the March/April 2023 issue. Tess Hardesty, a student at the College of Law co-authored the work.

Professor James Van Nostrand Publishes New Article in ABA Journal Natural Resources & Environment

West Virginia University College of Law professor James Van Nostrand published an article in the newest issue of Natural Resources & Environment , a publication of the ABA Section of Environment, Energy, and Resources. Professor Van Nostrand's article is titled "Regulatory and Policy Responses for Managing the Natural Gas Industry’s Downward Spiral." The entire Winter 2023 issue is dedicated to issues on "The Future of the Energy Grid." The issue was published online on March 10, 2023.

Professor Jesse Richardson Speaks on Webinar Panel for ABA Section of Environment, Energy, and Resources

West Virginia College of Law Professor Jesse Richardson recently spoke on a webinar panel for the ABA Section of Environment, Energy, and Resources. The webinar, held on March 19, 2021, was hosted by the SEER Water Resources Committee. Panelists discussed the effects of recent U.S. Supreme Court decisions on the sufficiency of water supply, water management, and water supply protection. Cases included: County of Maui, Hawaii v. Hawaii Wildlife Fund (federal jurisdiction over groundwater), Texas v. New Mexico and Florida v. Georgia (withdrawals by one state affecting flows relied upon by the neighboring downstream state), and Mississippi v. Tennessee (pumping groundwater from an aquifer serving an adjoining state).
