WVU Law at SEALS, Friday July 28, 2023

This week, WVU Law faculty members are presenting and discussing their scholarship at the 2023 SEALS Annual Meeting in Boca Raton, Florida. On Friday, July 28, 2023, Professors Elaine Waterhouse Wilson and Valarie Blake participated in a work-in-progress workshop and a panel discussion, respectively. 

Professor Wilson participated in a workshop as part of the Works-in-Progress Series at the conference.  The workshop gathered scholars in the fields of interdisciplinary tax and corporate law to both give and receive reviews of in-progress scholarship. The session was moderated by Professor Andrew Appleby of Stetson University College of Law.

This week, WVU Law faculty members are presenting and discussing their scholarship at the 2023 SEALS Annual Meeting in Boca Raton, Florida. On Thursday, July 27, 2023, Professor Kirsha Trychta participated in a discussion group at the conference.

Professor Trychta was a discussant at a Newer Law Professor's Workshop titled "Formative Feedback in Theory and Practice" moderated by Professor Olympia Duhart of Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad College of Law.

This week, WVU Law faculty members are presenting and discussing their scholarship at the 2023 SEALS Annual Meeting in Boca Raton, Florida. On Monday, July 24, 2023, Professor Caroline Osborne participated in two discussion groups at the conference.

Professor Osborne was first a discussant in a program titled "Legal Research on the NextGen Bar Exam" moderated by Professor Kristina L. Niedringhaus of Georgia State University College of Law.

This week, WVU Law faculty members are presenting and discussing their scholarship at the 2023 SEALS Annual Meeting in Boca Raton, Florida. On Sunday, July 23, 2023, Professor Joshua Weishart participated in a panel discussion at the conference.

Professor Weishart spoke on a panel titled "San Antonio Independent School District v. Rodriguez at 50: Lessons Learned and the Path Forward" moderated by Professor Kimberly Robinson of the University of Virginia School of Law.

Professor Anne Marie Lofaso Discusses New York's Ban on Non-Compete Clauses on Bloomberg Law Podcast

West Virginia University College of Law professor Anne Marie Lofaso was recently interviewed by host June Grasso on the Bloomberg Law podcast.  In the episode, which aired on July 18, 2023, Professor Lofaso discusses the implications of a law passed by the New York State legislature to ban non-compete clauses in employment contracts.
