Professor Caroline Osborne and Librarian Stephanie Miller Give Virtual Presentation on Assessment for American Association of Law Libraries

West Virginia University College of Law professor Caroline Osborne and librarian Stephanie Miller recently presented a webinar sponsored by the American Association of Law Libraries on the topic of assessment as decision-making tools. The webinar was part of AALL's "Coffee Talk" series and was presented on April 25, 2023.

Professor Caroline Osborne is a Featured Speaker in Yale Law Library Speaker Series

On April 26, 2023, West Virginia University College of Law professor and director of the law library, Caroline Osborne, was a featured speaker in the Lillian Goldman Law Library Speaker Series at Yale Law School. Professor Osborne spoke about scholarly impact metrics as a tool to develop a scholar's personal narrative and to advance a research agenda. Her program was titled "The Scholar's Narrative: Creating a Narrative Using Impact Metrics."

West Virginia University College of Law librarians Nicholas Stump and Stephanie Miller and Director of the Law Library, Professor Caroline Osborne, presented in multiple sessions at annual meeting of the Southeastern Chapter of the American Association of Law Libraries (SEAALL). The meeting took place in Richmond, Virginia on March 9-11, 2023.

Professor Caroline Osborne and Librarian Stephanie Miller Publish Scholarly Impact Article in "The Role of Citation in the Law'

Scholarship by West Virginia University College of law professor Caroline Osborne and law librarian Stephanie Miller is newly published in The Role of Citation in the Law. The volume follows the April 2021 symposium, Citation and the Law, hosted by Yale Law School. It features twenty-one of the scholarly works presented at the symposium. Professor Osborne and Ms. Miller's work, The Scholarly Impact Matrix: An Empirical Study of How Multiple Metrics Create an Informed Story of a Scholar's Work, was previously published in Legal Reference Services Quarterly. It was also awarded AALL ALL-SIS Outstanding Article Award in 2021.
