West Virginia University College of Law professor Jesse Richardson recently published new scholarship in the Environmental Law Reporter. The article is titled "How Environmental Litigation Has Turned Pipelines Into Pipe Dreams" and appeared in volume 52 of the journal in July 2022. Professor Richardson co-authored the article with WVU College of Law graduate Madison Hinkle. Ms. Hinkle works as a Community Advocate at Mountain Watershed Association.

Professor Peck was interviewed by hosts Sonja Ebron and Debra Slone about her recently published book The Accidental History of the U.S. Immigration Courts.
During October 2022, the contents of the WVU College of Law community in the Research Repository @ WVU had 15,607 new full-text downloads of the 5,713 total works archived in our collections. Readers came from 1,441 different institutions across 146 different countries. This brings the total full-text downloads of scholarship from the College of Law collections to 408,424.

On October 25, 2022 West Virginia University College of Law professor Kirsha Trychta spoke at a Domestic and Sexual Violence Survivors' Rights Seminar on the WVU campus. The event was sponsored by Omega Phi Alpha. Speakers addressed "advocacy for survivors and the history behind this movement, community organizing, prevention in an intersectional and equitable way, societal level risk and protective factors of Gender Based Violence and Interpersonal violence".
Professor Trychta presentation focused on the intersection of sexual violence and the law. Specifically, how a case proceeds through the criminal justice system, balancing the rights of the complainant and the rights of the accused.
