Professor Jena Martin Speaks at UN Forum on Business and Human Rights

West Virginia College of Law professor Jena Martin recently moderated a panel at the United Nations Forum on Business and Human Rights in Geneva, Switzerland on Monday, November 25, 2019. Professor Martin moderated a session titled "Voices from the Ground" during which participants offered insights into the lives and struggles of human rights defenders and community representatives and highlighted their expectations to businesses, investors and governments. Professor Martin guided discussions on achievements in defending human rights in business, common challenges, and what business, investors, and government entities can do to improve safety for human rights defenders and respect for human rights in their countries.

Professor Martin's Book Featured at 2019 APSA Annual Meeting

West Virginia University Law professor Jena Martin, with co-author Karen Kunz, will be featured at the 2019 American Political Science Association Annual Meeting by publisher Lexington Books. Professor Martin's book, When the Levees Break: Re-visioning Regulation of the Securities Markets, was published in 2016 and recently released in paperback in April 2019.

Lexington Books, an imprint of Rowman & Littlefield, will exhibit the book at the APSA Annual Meeting, August 29-31, 2019 in Washington D.C.

WVU College of Law SSRN Paper Series Publishes Volume 7, Issue 3

The West Virginia University College of Law Research Paper Series published Volume 7, Issue 3 on August 2, 2019. The following authors were featured for their scholarship recently published to SSRN:

Professor Martin Publishes New Work in Indiana International & Comparative Law Review

West Virginia University College of Law professor Jena Martin recently published new work in the Indiana International & Comparative Law Review . The essay, titled "It's Complicated: The Challenge of Prosecuting TNCs for Criminal Activity Under International Law" appears in the symposium issue of volume 29 of the journal. In March 2019 Professor Martin spoke at the event: "The Fight Against Trans-Boundary International Crime - Approaches, Methods and Solutions" .
