Professor Anne Lofaso Speaks at American Constitution Society Event on Income Inequality

Today, West Virginia University College of Law professor Anne Marie Lofaso will speak on a panel discussing how law can address income inequality in the United States. The event is organized by the American Constitution Society in Washington, DC and takes place on Wednesday, October 23, 2019.

The event is titled "Mind the Gap: How Law Can Address Income Inequality in America". Professor Lofaso will be joined by fellow panelists Lisa Cylar Barrett, Director of Policy, NAACP Legal Defense & Educational Fund, Inc., Lina Khan, Academic Fellow, Columbia Law School and Counsel, U.S. House Subcommittee on Antitru st, Commercial and Administrative Law , Ganesh Sitaraman, Chancellor Faculty Fellow and Professor of Law, Vanderbilt Law School, and Dora Chen, Associate General Counsel, Service Employees International Union , Moderator.

Panelists will discuss ways that labor law, antitrust law, and tax law offer potential avenues to help "increase wages, grow the middle class, de-consolidate corporate power, and shrink the racial wealth gap."
